I never thought a simple screenshot could cause so much trouble. During a break, my friend sent me a private message about our teacher. It was meant as a joke, and I laughed when I read it. Without thinking too much, I took a screenshot of the message. At that moment, it didn’t feel like a big deal.

Later that day, I shared the screenshot in our class group chat. I thought only my friends would see it, and they would laugh. For a few minutes, nothing happened. Then more and more people started reacting to it. That’s when I realised I might have made a mistake.

The next morning, our teacher asked me to stay after the lesson. Someone had shown her the screenshot, and she was clearly upset. She explained that the message was private and should never have been shared. I felt embarrassed and wished I could take everything back.

After school, I couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone, but my actions had consequences. I understood that sharing private messages can seriously affect others. Now I know that one careless decision online can cause real problems offline.
