Trening egzaminacyjny – zadanie 7

Zadanie 7. (0–4)

Przeczytaj teksty. W zadaniach 7.1.–7.4. z podanych odpowiedzi wybierz właściwą, zgodną z treścią tekstu. Zakreśl jedną z liter: A, B albo C.

Tekst 1:

HOW TO START TASK 7? Before you read the long text, always look at the question and the options A, B, and C first. This simple trick helps your brain know what information to search for. You don’t need to translate every single word in the text! Just focus on finding the specific sentence that answers the question.

Tekst 2:

WATCH OUT FOR PARAPHRASE! Examiners love using different words with the same meaning. For example, if the text says “I enjoy spending time outdoors”, the correct answer might say “He likes being in nature”. Don’t just look for the exact same words from the options in the text. Look for similar meanings instead!

Tekst 3:

THE DISTRACTOR TRAP Be careful with distractor options! Often, an incorrect option contains a word directly taken from the text, like “always” or “yesterday”. However, the rest of the option changes the facts or contradicts the text. Always read the whole option carefully, not just the first two words!

Tekst 4:

LOGICAL ELIMINATION What if you don’t know the answer right away? Use the elimination strategy! Cross out options that are clearly false or not mentioned in the text at all. Even if you have to guess between the last two options, you now have a 50% chance of getting a point!

SKETCHNOTING FOR STUDENTS > Do you find taking traditional notes boring? Try sketchnoting! It is a fun method where you combine simple drawings, symbols, and short text to write down information. You don’t need to be a great artist to do it. Sketchnoting helps your brain remember new English vocabulary much faster because you see words as pictures. Give it a try during your next lesson!

Message > From: Alex To: Sam Subject: Language game

Hi Sam, Thanks for telling me about the „What If” game! I played it with my sister yesterday. We asked questions like „What if people could fly?” and tried to answer them in English. It was really fun and helped us practise speaking without stress. We should try playing it together on Friday after school! Alex

ART AND ENGLISH > Combining art with language learning is a great idea! Many students draw pictures of new vocabulary items in their notebooks, for example a garden with colorful flowers or a family portrait with labeled names (mum, dad, brother). Visualising words makes learning more enjoyable and helps you remember phrases for a longer time.
